HOW ABOUT A BAREFOOT WEDDING?
Have you ever dreamed of getting married on a romantic
tropical island? Does the stress of having to plan a wedding
scare you? Would you like to elope, or get married in a
no-stress ceremony? Do you dream of getting married in bare
feet (like our wedding party in the pictures)? Does the
thought of walking down a tropical aisle (eh hem, tropical
pier) tickle your fancy? Then dream no more. We are here to
help you plan you wedding, big or small, formal or barefoot, on
the most romantic island in the world!
Before you tie the knot, however, here are a few things you
should know:
** Your Belizean wedding is perfectly legal everywhere in the
world.
** There is no need to register your marriange upon your return
home.
** One or both parties must be in the country for three days
prior to applying for a license. It takes one or two working days
after it is approved before it can be picked up.
**Couples must provide valid passports with date of entry
stamp
**Proof of citizenship is necessary, in the form of an original birth
certificate or a valid passport.
**If you're over 18 years of age, you don't need a blood test or
parental consent.
**Two witnesses are required to be present at the ceremony.
